Block 38
Project Overview
The Block 38 mixed-use building combines retail, parking and housing into the first high-rise structure built in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska in over 20 years. At 10 stories, the building provides nearly 20,000 SF of retail space on the first level, 650 parking spaces on levels two through seven, and 50 residential units on levels eight through ten.
To isolate the unconditioned parking garage areas from the retail spaces, the Staycell® HYBRID System was specified to provide highly efficient thermal insulation, moisture / condensation control and air infiltration control. The Staycell® HYBRID System consisted of 3.5” Staycell® 504 covered with 1/2” Staycell ONE STEP® 502 intumescent spray foam insulation. Upon tenant build-out, the foam system will be covered from view by an acoustical suspended ceiling.
